The Mississippi River runs along the western border of the state and empties into the Gulf of Mexico. Roosevelt State Park
Roosevelt State Park is located between Jackson and Meridian, Mississippi. This state park offers developed camping, tent camping, vacation cabins, and group cabins. There are 109 sites available for RV camping, 15 vacation cabins and dormitory-style cabins for groups of up to 128 people. Cabin 12 is handicap-accessible. Every cabin has a great view of the Shadow Lake, along with heat/air, screened-in porches, bed and bath linens, a TV, and basic kitchen equipment. This park also has a pool with a water slide that is open from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. An activity building holds a video game room, pool table, and gift shop. Plenty of picnic tables and charcoal grills are available, as well as a playground and laundry facilities. Activities include fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing, and tennis.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park
Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park campground is located in Pelahatchie, Mississippi. The park has a 95-acre fishing lake, Water Zone Water Park with slides, beach, pool, playground, fishing pier, outdoor theater, miniature golf, boat rentals, and golf cart rentals. There are 15 cabins and each one has a fully-equipped kitchen, cable TV, deck with table and chairs, and cooking utensils. Guests will need to bring their own linens and beach towels. Pets are allowed for a non-refundable cleaning fee. Area attractions include the Natchez Trace, Vicksburg Riverboat Casinos, and Pelahatchie Muscadine Festival.

Hugh White State Park
Hugh White State Park is located in Mississippi and is on Grenada Lake. The park has 137 RV sites, three camping sites to set up tents, 24 vacation cabins, and a group cabin that can accommodate a group of up to 35. There are 12 duplex vacation cabins located on a bluff overlooking the lake. Each of the 24 units has heat/air, a fully-equipped kitchen, bed and bath linens, a screened porch, and a fireplace. A golf course is located in the state park, as well as a nature trail, playgrounds, picnic area, and activity building. Nearby attractions include Holly Springs National Forest, North Mississippi Girl Scout Camp, and the Malmaison Wildlife Management Area.
