Family Night Activities at Church

Family Night Activities at Church

Family nights at church can be filled with fun and excitement, but organizers may find it difficult to organize specific activities. Church nights are common throughout the country and can be church related or designed to promote bonding and teamwork. These are all activities that the family can enjoy together.

Movies

Watching movies with a Christian theme or a family-friendly theme is a good way to spend an evening at church. It's fun for the family and it can be a good conversation piece when the movie is over. Food and drink can be provided for before, during or after the movie. Movie watching is a good social event that promotes family time.

Concerts

For the aspiring musicians in the congregation, a concert can be held as a fundraiser or just to showcase talent. Concerts are a good activity to bring families together as long as the music is family friendly. It's also a good way to support the musicians in the congregation.

Fellowship Meals

Families can bring an item that they enjoy eating as a potluck dinner. Bringing people together through a meal is a way to promote fellowship and get to learn more about one another in the congregation.

Game Night

This can be any family-friendly board game that's fun to play. The idea is to bring together families to play games into the night and bond with one another. It's also a low-key way for family members to challenge each other.

Devotionals or Sermons

A good family night can include an evening of devotionals that can be topical or random. Outside of a normal worship service, devotions and Bible studies can be held so long as permission is granted.
