Family Reunion Logo Ideas

Family Reunion Logo Ideas

A family reunion is a big deal. Creating a family reunion logo is an ideal way to symbolize and commemorate the big event and have attendees associate in a speical way with the family name and the occasion. After you decide on a logo, use it on stationery, invitations, customizable party accessories and T-shirts for the event.

Family Shield or Crest

Conduct a little research about your family's surname and see if you can find the associated crest or shield. These family emblems have symbolism in their colors and images. For example, the color red may symbolize a warrior, and a crown may represent royalty, according to the website, Fluer de Lis. After finding your family shield or crest, you can place the family name above it for the logo. If you cannot find a family shield or crest, use the image of the flag from the country where your family originated.

Monogram

For a simple logo, consider creating one that just consists of the first letter in the family name, then choose a font you think works best for your family letter. This logo can also include the family name under the monogram in a smaller size, using the same complementary font.

Catch Phrase or Slogan

If your family is known for a certain phrase or word, consider using it in your logo. For example, if the family catch phrase is "the one and only," you could make a logo where the words "one" and "only" share the letter O. You could place the word "one" horizontally, and the letters N, L and Y vertically under the O in "one." Add the family name under the words.

Play on Words

Take advantage of associations your family name may have. For example, if your last name is King, you could create a logo where the word "king" is the base of a crown. Alternatively, the logo could just simply be a crown perched on top of the letter K.

Family Hobby or Business

When your family is well-known for or is proud of a particular hobby or a family business, try to incorporate that aspect into a family reunion logo. For example, a family full of musicians or music store owners could have a logo where the family name is printed to resemble the body of a guitar, where the last letter in the name extends to form the neck and pegs.
